How to produce intense and pure ISOL beams
The three key requirements for all individual parts of an ISOL (isotope separation on-line) facility are efficiency, rapidity and selectivity. This paper discusses the primary beam, target, extraction, transport and rapidity/selectivity. (12 refs).
