The LHCb project
The LHCb experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN is designed to study CP-violation and rare decays in the B-meson system. A general overview of the project is given, including the physics motivation, the design of the detector and the expected LHCb performance. (7 refs).
