DC field control of decay processes in a ($\pi^{+}-\pi^{-}$)- atom: A possibility to measure the energy splitting between 2s- and 2p-states
The ( pi /sup +/- pi /sup -/)-atom life-time dependence on a DC electric field is determined. The possibility is demonstrated to measure the 2s-2p energy splitting with the use of this dependence.
