Field Quality Specification for the LHC Main Dipole Magnets
Based on criteria of different nature such as the control of the mechanical aperture or the preservation of the dynamic aperture, hard limits are given for the normal and skew harmonics an and bn , 1 < n < 5, and for the systematic b7 component of the LHC main dipole magnets.
