Sumario:Over the past 14 months the RD42 collaboration continued the improvement of CVD diamond detectors for high luminosity experiments at the LHC. We have made extensive progress on the diamond quality, on the development of diamond trackers and on radiation hardness studies. Transforming the technology to the LHC specific requirements is now in progress. In this report we present the progress made and the requirements specific to the programme.
