Sumario:The data coming from the CERN WAl02 experiment, update our understanding of the central production process. The "naive" double Pomeron exchange (DPE) picture with the "vacuum Pomeron" do not fit to the experimental data. The nonuniform azimuthal angle distributions require the exchange particle spin greater that 0. The model of Close and Schuller with the exchange particle (Pomeron) transforming like a nonconserving vector current, fits well to the experimental data. (6 refs).
