Sumario: | DELPHI data collected at centre-of-mass energies up to 209 GeV have been analyzed in search for charginos in the framework of the constrained Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (cMSSM) with R-parity conservation. Supersymmetry breakings induced by the supergravity (SUGRA) or mediated by gauge interactions (GMSB), giving rise to different experimental signatures, have been assumed. The likelihood ratio method was used to extract a possible signal from the real data. No evidence for a signal was found in any of the channels and the results of the searches were used to derive limits on the chargino pair production cross-sections and masses. In the SUGRA scheme, the excluded regions in the theoretical parameter space of the constrained MSSM imply an indirect limit on the mass of the Lightest Supersymmetric Particle, here assumed to be the lightest neutralino, of 38.2 GeV/c2. All limits are given at 95% confidence level |
