$\Xi^{-}$ and $\bar{\Xi}^{+}$ production in Pb+Pb collisions at 40 A GeV at CERN SPS

First results on the production of $\Xi^{-}$ and $\bar{\Xi}^{+}$ hyperons in Pb+Pb interactions at 40 AGeV are presented.
