Nonlinear Optimization of a Low Emittance CLIC Damping Ring Lattice
The CLIC damping ring design is optimized to produce a beam with ultra low emittances. The lattice for such a machine requires a small value of the optical functions, a large number of compact arc cells and, for the chromatic correction, strong sextupoles, that introduce significant nonlinearities,...

Sumario: | The CLIC damping ring design is optimized to produce a beam with ultra low emittances. The lattice for such a machine requires a small value of the optical functions, a large number of compact arc cells and, for the chromatic correction, strong sextupoles, that introduce significant nonlinearities, decreasing the dynamic aperture. In this paper, the nonlinear optimization of the damping ring lattice is described. |
