Proposal for the Award of a Contract for the Provision of GSM Mobile Telephone Services

This document concerns the award of a contract for the provision of GSM mobile telephone services. Following a call for tenders (IT-3121/IT) sent on 11 March 2003 to ten firms in five Member States, CERN had received, by the closing date, two tenders from two firms in one Member State. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with TDC SWITZERLAND (CH), the lowest bidder, for the provision of GSM mobile telephone services for a period of six years, for a total amount not exceeding 2 308 630 Swiss francs, not subject to revision. The contract will include options for two one-year extensions beyond the initial six-year period. The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this adjudication proposal: CH - 100%.
