Sumario: | This document concerns the award of a contract for the supply of 107 000 pumping slot shields for the LHC dipole beam screens. Following a market survey carried out among 144 firms in nineteen Member States, a call for tenders (IT-3190/AT/LHC) was sent on 26 March 2003 to five firms in three Member States. By the closing date, CERN had received four tenders from four firms in three Member States. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with C. BRANDAUER (GB), the lowest bidder, for the supply of 107 000 pumping slot shields for a total amount of 354 133 pounds sterling (780 030 Swiss francs), not subject to revision, with an option for 10% additional pumping slot shields, for an additional amount of 35 413 pounds sterling (78 003 Swiss francs), not subject to revision, bringing the total amount to 389 546 pounds sterling (858 033 Swiss francs), not subject to revision. The rate of exchange used is that stipulated in the tender. The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this adjudication proposal: GB - 100%. |
