Proposal for the Award of a Contract for the Supply of Four-Quadrant Switched-Mode Power Converters Rated at 600 A, 40 V for the LHC

This document concerns the award of a contract for the supply of four-quadrant switched-mode power converters rated at 600 A, 40 V for the LHC. For the reasons set out in this document, the Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with TRANSTECHNIK (DE) for the supply of 50 switched-mode power converters rated at 600 A, 40 V for a total amount of 1 948 000 euros (2 849 620 Swiss francs), not subject to revision. The rate of exchange used is that stipulated in the tender. The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this adjudication proposal: DE - 88%; CZ - 12%.
