Energy dependence of transverse mass spectra of kaons produced in p+p and p+pbar interactions.A compilation

Sumario:The data on transverse mass spectra of K0S, K+ and K- mesons produced in p+p and p+pbar interactions in the energy range sqrt(s_NN)=4.7-1800 GeV are compiled and analyzed. The spectra are parameterized as dN/(m_T dm_T) = C e^(-m_T/T). The values of the inverse slope parameter T for K0S, K+ and K- are similar. The T parameter increases monotonically with sqrt(s_NN) from T = 130 MeV at sqrt(s_NN) = 4.7 GeV to T = 220 MeV at sqrt(s_NN) = 1800 GeV. The T parameter measured in p+p (p+pbar) is significantly lower than the corresponding parameter obtained for central Pb+Pb collisions. The anomalous energy dependence of T observed for Pb+Pb collisions is not seen in the case of p+p interactions.
