Proposal to negotiate, without competitive tendering, a contract for the supply of an optical-frequency comb generator for the high-precision laser system of the ASACUSA experiment

This document concerns the award of a contract for the supply of an optical-frequency comb generator for the high-precision laser system used by the ASACUSA experiment. For the reasons explained in this document, the Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with the firm MENLO SYSTEMS (DE), for the supply of an optical-frequency comb generator for a total amount of 340 000 euros (460 000 Swiss francs), not subject to revision. The amount in Swiss francs has been calculated using the present rate of exchange. The amount will be entirely financed by the UNIVERSITY OF TOKYO (JP).
