Sumario: | The result of the magnetic measurements after the cold mass assembly is a holding point for the production of the LHC main dipoles. Here we describe how the magnetic measurements are screened to validate them and to work out faulty components or assembly procedures. The control limits are based on the experience acquired on the first 13 measured cold masses, and comparison to collared coil magnetic measurements. These limits are applied to 58 cold masses to carry out the quality control. The strategy used to set control limits and the main results of the quality control are discussed. |
