Sumario:CERN demonstrated the newest Grid technology and highlighted advances in networking through optical fibres at the ITU Telecom World 2003, the international exhibition on telecommunication that was held at Palexpo, Geneva, 12-18 October 2003. There CERN also set a new land speed long-range data transmission record and showed live transmissions via high quality videoconferencing from the Internet2 conference in Indianapolis.
