Magnetic Catalysis of Quark Matter Stability in the Nambu - Jona - Lasinio Model

The influence of external magnetic field $H$ on the stability of the quark matter is investigated in the framework of simple Nambu--Jona--Lasinio model. It is shown that at H = 0 quark droplets are stable one only at G > Gbag, where Gbag is some value of the coupling constant G. If $H \not = 0$,...

Sumario:The influence of external magnetic field $H$ on the stability of the quark matter is investigated in the framework of simple Nambu--Jona--Lasinio model. It is shown that at H = 0 quark droplets are stable one only at G > Gbag, where Gbag is some value of the coupling constant G. If $H \not = 0$, then stable quark droplets might exist even at G< Gbag (magnetic catalysis effect of quark matter stability).
