Sumario:The SM predicts a high degree of polarization of the top quarks produced via the electroweak interaction. Due to its high mass the top quark decays before hadronization and its polarization is transmitted to the decay products. The polarization of the top quark produced at LHC in EW process and the W boson emitted by the decaying top are analyzed using the angular distributions of the charged lepton. Special attention has been paid to estimate the sensitivity to unexpected contributions associated with new physics, which could alter the decay angular distributions.
