Sumario: | Results of a study of the jet energy reconstruction in the ATLAS detector are reported. Two algorithms were used : the Sampling-dependent weighting technique and the H1 based approach. Full simulated back to back di-jet events at |eta|= 0.3 were analysed using the conventional Cone algorithm for jet reconstruction. The calorimeter cell electronic noise was simulated. For the moment, pile-up effects have not been taken into account. The H1 method produced better results. The non linearity effects are smaller than 2%. For a cone size Delta(R)=0.7, the fractional energy resolution obtained is given by Sigma/E = 51.5%/sqrt(E) (+) 1.54% (quadratic sum). |
