Sumario:A simple object-oriented program has been written to simulate the SCT and Pixel detectors in order to determine the suitability of various ROB mapping schemes in the context of the Level 2 trigger. Layer and tower mappings have been investigated separately for the SCT barrel and endcap and for the Pixel barrel and endcap. Events containing one RoI were fired at each detector part and the number of ROBs hit determined. As a result, plots of ROB output data rates and ROB hit frequency as a function of ROB ID were obtained. In general it was found that layer mapping schemes might result in unacceptably high data rates and frequencies. This result would have to be confirmed with more detailed modelling. The tower mappings investigated, in general produced acceptable rates.
