Sumario: | The identification of b-jets is important for large spectrum of physics processes, which will be studied in the ATLAS experiment. The ability of the Tile calorimeter to identify a muon inside a jet was studied. The results presented in this note are based on the combined electromagnetic (LAr) and hadronic (Tilecal) calorimeter test beam data obtained in 1996. The implications for the LVL1 trigger are discussed as well. |
