Performance summary of the DAQ-Unit in DAQ/EF -1

This note describes the processing performance of the DAQ-Unit,developed in the context of the of the DataFlow system inATLAS DAQ/EF prototype -1.The logical model and the software architecture are presented and atiming analysis of a VMEbus based implementation are discussed in detail.
