The Freiburg MDT leak test setup
This note descibes the setup at the university of Freiburg for verifying the gas tightness of the Atlas MDTs after their production, as required by the Atlas muon community QA/QC procedure. A mass spectrometer is used to check for any gas leaked from the tubes into a surrounding vacuum vessel.
