Sumario: | 97-002 In absence of a detailed beam optics for IP8, the required beam aperture in the LHC-B interaction region is approximated from known boundary conditions for the LHC-B luminosity and LHC rules for aperture calculations. The required aperture is largest at injection energy. The doubling of the aperture, due to the LHC-B spectrometer field, might be reduced by applying special orbit bumps. |
