Track fit-vertex locator test-beam software description

The track fit algorithm and its implementation in the vertex locator software is presented. The algorithm is based on a linearised least squares fit, where the solution is obtained by matrix inversion. A simple pattern recognition algorithm using reference tables, useful for high multiplicity events, is described.
