Sumario: | In this note we describe the track reconstruction for LHCB. We apply a Kalman filter technique both for trackfitting and for trackfinding tasks. We demonstrate that the fit gives track parameters with correct errors. We then use the track reconstruction to find optimal positions for the location of tracking stations in the detector. For the final chosen setup we discuss performance numbers on track momentum and vertex position measurements, and for the invariant mass resolution of the Ds and B0 mesons.1 |
