description The LHCb calorimeter front-end electronics will be located above the ECAL / HCAL, i.e. in a region which is not protected from radiations. We present here an estimation of the radiation effect for the electronics and the solutions we investigate to reduce it. Two irradiation tests of the calorimeter front-end shaper have been performed, in June 2001 at the Centre de Proton Thérapie (Orsay) and in December 2001 at GANIL (Caen). The results of the tests clearly show the satisfying resistance of the shaper to SEL.
