In this note we study the accessibility of the SM Higgs self-couplings at the LHC through the measurement of the cross section for Higgs pairs production. We focus on the mass range $140 GeV \le m_H \le 200 GeV$, where the Higgs decays mainly in WW or ZZ. We identify the most promising channels for the signal observation and evaluate the main SM backgrounds. The potential of a SUPER LHC with an upgraded luminosity of the order $10^{35} cm^{-2}s^{-1}$ is also evaluated. |
