Analysis of the process pp->bbh/A->bbmumu in the MSSM with mA < 125 GeV

In the Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model two nearly degenerate light Higgs bosons (h0, A0) exist when the A0 mass is in the range from 90 to 125 GeV. Decay of these Higgs bosons to muons has a small branching ratio, but can be detected taking advantage of the mass resolution. In...

Sumario:In the Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model two nearly degenerate light Higgs bosons (h0, A0) exist when the A0 mass is in the range from 90 to 125 GeV. Decay of these Higgs bosons to muons has a small branching ratio, but can be detected taking advantage of the mass resolution. In this note the possibility to extract the pp -> bb h0/A0 -> bb mu+ mu- signal from the background is investigated.
