Energy Leakage in the Barrel/Endcap Transition Region of the ECAL
This note reports a study of the hermeticity of the CMS ECAL at the junction of the barrel and endcap subdetectors, using CMSIM version 113. The containment of single photons of pT = 50 GeV is investigated as a function of the endcap radius to determine the optimum size to minimise energy leakage.
