Sumario:We describe the improved electron identification algorithm for the CMS level 1 calorimeter regional trigger. We specify the dataflow of the information required to identify electrons in our regional trigger system. The dataflow of both nonisolated and isolated electron/photon streams in this improved design are presented. Physics justification in terms of trigger efficiencies and background rates is given from simulation results.
