Missing Transverse Energy Studies with ORCA4 on Minimum Bias and Signal Samples

We present results on resolutions, L2.0 trigger algorithms, and Level 1 and Level 2.0 trigger rates for missing transverse energy for high luminosity running ( 10^7 mb^(-1) Hz ) of the CMS experiment. A missing transverse energy triggermay be necessary for precision studies of Supersymmetry, or stud...

description We present results on resolutions, L2.0 trigger algorithms, and Level 1 and Level 2.0 trigger rates for missing transverse energy for high luminosity running ( 10^7 mb^(-1) Hz ) of the CMS experiment. A missing transverse energy triggermay be necessary for precision studies of Supersymmetry, or studies for supersymmetric Higgs which decay to tau leptons. Our Level 1 rates are a bit higher than those from earlier works. New promising algorithms comnbining MET with other variables are presented.
