description Some of the results obtained from the analysis of the data corresponding to the two weeks test beam period in July 2000 with the Q4 prototype are presented in this note. Efficiency, resolution and drift velocity measurements have been made under different conditions of operating voltages, magnetic field, and chamber orientation with respect to the muon beam. The behaviour of the Q4 prototype in all cases agrees well with the expected performance of the Muon Barrel Drift Tube Chambers in CMS.
