Sumario: | A sample of ASIC prototypes of the first level trigger front-end for the CMS muon barrel drift chambers, the so called Bunch and Track Identifier, was tested on a Superlayer of a chamber prototype with the final cell design. Tests were performed using a collimated muon beam incident on the Superlayer at several angles. The Superlayer was immersed in a magnetic field parallel to the beam. We report on the performance of the tested prototypes with respect to bunch crossing efficiency, resolution and noise. The impact of different setting parameters of the BTI module has been investigated |
