Study of Jet Recognition and Production Rates in Central Pb-Pb Collisions with CMS
The possibility of jet recognition in central Pb-Pb collisions with the CMS detector is studied. It is shown that for jets with transverse energies ET > 50 GeV, the recognition efficiency is close to 100% with the background from "thermal" particles 12 +/- 3%. Expected statistics fo...
