Sumario: | Recent NLO results of the SM Higgs cross section at the LHC differ by factors of up to approximately 2nm from the LO cross section estimates currently used inside PYTHIA. We propose a scheme on how these NLO results can be used consistently inside the PYTHIA Monte Carlo simulations. Numerical results for sigma( Higgs) are given for three recent parton distribution functions, MRS( R1), GRV( 94)HO and CTEQ4M. For completeness we also present the latest theoretical branching ratios ( NLO and beyond) of the most promising Higgs decay signatures for Higgs masses between 80 GeV and 1 TeV. |
