Sumario: | In the high level trigger algorithms for electrons, matching the clusters of the electromagnetic calorimeter to the innermost hits of the pixel detector has been found to be efficient in rejecting the jet background. This note reports the performance of the algorithm for the low and high luminosity. It also studies the effect of a ``staged'' pixel detector scenario --- proposed for the low luminosity running --- on the electron efficiency and the jet rejection of the pixel match. The performance is partially recovered by including the first silicon micro-strip layers to the matching algorithm. |
