Sumario:Five full size PbWO4 crystals were cut at the Bogoroditsk crystal production plant in Russia, using the processing method proposed by CERN - CMA for the mass production of the 110'000 crystals of the CMS Electromagnetic Calorimeter. The machinery, tooling and processing parameters were tested. The resulting crystal surface finish and dimensional accuracy are presented. Improvements in the method are envisaged.
