Sumario: | This paper presents a study of the temperature distribution inside L3 magnet air volume, by means of CFD simulation with the commercial finite volume method software called StarCD. Different configurations are calculated using parameters such as forced ventilation inside L3 magnet or active cooling of the cables. The numerical analysis is carried out to find a feasible solution that gives, as a result, acceptable temperature values inside L3 volume. |
