Possible Production and Detection of Centauros and Strangelets at LHC

Please note this ps file is TEXT ONLY, for the complete note, please contact the ALICE Secretariat. <P> We consider the production and separation of strangeness in the baryon-rich quark matter Centauro fireball, before its spontaneous explosive decay. We find that its initially quark matter state may transform into a partially strange quark matter one, within its lifetime. This may have as a result the formation of a long-lived state, giving reasonable expectations for Centauro events and low mass strangelets in the future collider experiments at the LHC.
