The mechanical design and support for the CASTOR calorimeter for ALICE
The calorimeter is a structure built out of two sections (left and right), each of them consisting of four modules connected together at each corner through bolted plates, as can be seen in the general view (see Fig.1) and in the front view of the calorimeter (see Fig.2).
