A generic block diagram of the sub-detector front-end electronics shows all the necessary stages of event buffering. The sub-detector groups are urged to study carefully the implications of the transfer rates and the chosen capacity of the multi-event buffers on the sub-detector dead time. </BODY> </HTML>
