Evaluation of Radiation Dose Exposure for Silicon Pixel Detectors in ALICE Experiment

Sumario: | An estimation of radiation dose exposure expected for the Inner Tracking System (ITS) of ALICE experiment at the future LHC collider is presented. In particular, the two innermost layers of the silicon ITS, located at radial distances of 3.9 and 7.6cm are based on hybrid silicon pixel detectors. A possible scenario for the first ten years operation is presented assuming a data taking with beams of lead, calcium and proton. |
