Sumario:<HTML> <HEAD> <h2>Abstract</h2> </HEAD> <P> <BODY> <P> A double GEM structure has been irradiated with a strong <SUP>55</SUP>Fe-source. The resulting currents on cathode, anode and the GEM electrodes have been measured as a function of the drift, transfer and induction field. The ratio of ions drifting back to the cathode relative to the electrons reaching the anode has been determined and is of the order of 5%. </BODY> </HTML>
