The present results have been obtained according to the latest specifications of the ALICE subsystems in the respective Technical Design Reports. The influence of the error on the reconstructed Cherenkov angle of the track, in terms of efficiency and contamination, will also be presented. <BR> Finally, the effect of the space-frame, recently designed for supporting the TRD and TOF, on the effective HMPID acceptance will be addressed. </BODY> </HTML>
