description | This document concerns the award of a contract for the supply of 250 global protection units for the LHC. Following a market survey carried out among 89 firms in seventeen Member States, a call for tenders (IT-3097/AT/LHC) was sent on 23 July 2003 to 17 firms and one consortium in eleven Member States. By the closing date, CERN had received 12 tenders from 12 firms in eight Member States. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with INSTEM TECHNOLOGIES (GB), the lowest bidder after realignment, for the supply of 250 global protection units for a total amount of 1 043 047 Swiss francs, not subject to revision. The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this adjudication proposal: GB - 95%; FR - 5%. |
