Sumario: | We take a first look at the vertex trigger requirements for detector alignment using the current version of the vertex trigger software. The analysis tries to assess what levels of misalignment are tolerable in the current algorithm. The conclusions of this work would serve as an input in three areas: Firstly, to the level of mechanical precision we should aim for during detector assembly and the position reproducibility needed during detector movements. Secondly, on how often alignment constants ought to be reloaded in the vertex trigger processors. Lastly, on assessing if parts of the algorithm ought to be modified to become more tolerable to misalignment.1 |
