LHCb Electron Trigger

96-009 The basic detector configuration, algorithm, approximations and assumptions utilized for the LOI high p t electron trigger are presented. Results of new studies, intended to better understand the dependence of the trigger performance on some of the above conditions, are then discussed. Finally, some information is presented on the nature and the characteristics of the background events not rejected by the trigger.
