A Measurement of the SCTA_VELO signal-to-noise performance on a full-size hybrid

Sumario:The signal to noise performance of SCTA_VELO chips bonded to a VELO PR02 R-measuring prototype sensor has been measured using minimum ionising particles in the SPS testbeam. The chips were operated on a 16 chip hybrid and read out individually. The particles were asynchronous with respect to the chip sampling clock, and the signal was extracted from the data using a simulation of the setup. S/N values of 17$pm$ 1 and 16$pm$ 1 are found for the two chips under study for strips from the inner region of the sensor.
