Investigations of the thermal properties of the LHCb Inner Tracker silicon ladders by finite element analysis

This note reports about the thermal performance of silicon ladder designs which are being proposed for the LHCb Inner Tracker. The heat characteristics for different silicon ladder design options are evaluated by using the finite element analysis program package ANSYS. The thermal performance of the silicon ladder after 10 years of operation in the LHCb radiation environment is investigated.
